"Forgiveness as Being at Peace"
My Jain friends have been sending me reminder that this is the season of peace, and they are asking for my forgiveness and encouraging me to do the same. In this lesson I will be exploring one idea of forgiveness as being at peace with someone or something. The importance of this, and ideas about how to do it, will be part of my reflections.

Purchase of the New Property
The Membership of UKV has empowered the Board of Trustees to move forward with the purchase of the church property on Bridge Road. We are now under contract, with a closing date during the last week of September. A professional inspection, including a mold inspection, is scheduled for mid-Sept. Stay posted for more info!

With God, I have all I need to be happy, fulfilled, and whole. I accept the blessings of peace and wisdom and express these qualities throughout my day.

New avenues of good are unfolding in every area of my life. With an open heart, I joyously accept God's blessings.

Results of Congregational Meeting last Sunday:
The Membership of UKV voted to empower the Board of Trustees to pursue the purchase of the property on Bridge Road. The vote was 38 Yes, 4 No.

"Taking the Plunge"
Wow! What a week it has been for our congregation! Many thanks to Matt Schwartz and our Board of Directors, who have put together an amazing plan to relocate our church to Bridge Road in South Hills. Things are moving fast, we will be making the decision to purchase the property this Sunday! Talk about "Talking the Plunge!"

Are we ready? How can we tell? What if its a mistake? Please join us for this reflection as we practice living out our faith together in a concrete way. It doesn't get any more real than this!


Membership Meeting this Sunday
There will be a membership meeting this Sunday immediately following the church service.  This meeting is to discuss and vote on the proposal to sell our current property and purchase property at the intersection of Myrtle Road and Bridge Road in South Hills. This is an important decision, please join us for a prayer-ful consideration of the proposal!

"Spiritual Contracts"
I will be reflecting today on spiritual contracts, the idea that before we are born, we make agreements with other souls, to provide learning opportunities for each other while here on Earth. This seemed a strange notion to me at first, I have found it has been very helpful for me in releasing old hurts. Based in pert on the book Radical Forgiveness.

There will be a pick-up discussion group after the service.
