A reflection on Thanksgiving and the Creation. How do we know that God is good and that God's only attitude towards us is of acceptance?

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD - It's that time again to prepare shoeboxes for Samaritans Purse Operation Christmas Child. T
he deadline is November 15 (I think). If you have never done this before this is how it works: take a shoebox and wrap the box and lid separately in Christmas wrap. The breakdown is for ages 2-4 years, 5-9 years and 10- 14 years. I will get labels that have this breakdown that will need to be affixed to the box and it also gives the breakdown if it is for a girl or boy. (If you would just like to donate items for the boxes this would be greatly appreciated. You can drop off loose items in the church office on Sunday mornings or anytime during the week.) Then you fill it with goodies (much of this can be found at the Dollar
Store), here are some suggestions: Toys: Small cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yos, jump ropes, small Etch-A-Sketch, Slinky, etc. School Supplies: Pens, pencils and sharpener, crayons or markers, writing pads or paper, solar calculators, coloring and picture books, etc. Hygiene Items: Toothbrush, toothpaste, mild bar soap (in a plastic bag), comb, washcloth, etc.
Hard candy and lollipops (please double bag all candy) mints, gum,
t-shirts, socks, ball caps, sunglasses, hair clips, toy jewelry, watches,
flashlights (with extra batteries). To help with postage we ask that you include a check made out to Samaritans Purse for $7.00. Also if you would like to include a picture of yourself, family or group, this helps make the connection for the receiver of the gift.
We are a demonstration of God's unconditional Love
We realize our Oneness and honor our uniqueness
Thank you God for the miracle that is my life!
