Through prayer, meditation or journal writing, I begin and end each day reflecting on the many ways Spirit blesses me. I approach life in a state of gratitude. I see the magnificence all around me, and I am filled with joy for all the good in this world.

We welcome this in every way and everywhere with utmost gratitude.--Acts 24:3

Thank you to everyone for all the generous gifts to the Sojourners shelter.  We filled 10 very large trash bags that were delivered to the shelter on Wednesday.  They are so grateful for all of the gifts.

"Thanks for the wonderful music last Sunday from Jack, Ryan, and Heidi.  We are so blessed to have such warm musicians willing to share their talents with us.  It gives me chills to remember!  

Thanks to Sky for a wonderful message Sunday.  It touched my heart and was so appreciated!

Many thanks to LeRee Naviaux and Beth Sattes for organizing dinners to Sojourners shelter over this next week.

Thanks to all who helped take and serve and clean up dinner at Sojourners on Monday night.  It was a blessing to be involved.  All of the sojourners loved the meal and I think they felt the Unity love while we were there!

What a response to the need for Sojourners' dinners.  Peggy's immediate response of lasagna became a reality with speed and alacrity.  Angels participating with good food and smiling Presence were Beth Sattes, Karen Sylvester, Bob Neel, Victoria Casey, Barbie Dahlman (sp?),Linda Austin, Sandy and Danny Blair, Gerie Ann and Jim Selbe, Phyllis Wilcox, Lisa Beck, Kathy Dent, Brenda Gurnee, Paula Reilly, her friend that came to service with her on Sunday and an international student from UC that is staying with her during the holiday break and Donna Messina who was there both days.  Pam Hippler our wonderful communicator.  Unity's and Blue's kitchens.  A true manifestation of the Spirit of Giving that is intrinsic in the individuals and in Unity.  - LeRee

KURSK ROOT ICON in Charleston Dec 22

St. George Orthodox Cathedral will be hosting the visitation
of the KURSK ROOT ICON. This 13th century icon is one
of the most beloved miraculous icons of Russia which has
drawn millions of pilgrims wherever it has traveled.

Orthodox, Catholic and Protestant Christians will benefit
from praying before this icon. Many miracles have occured
through the centuries and the monks who accompany the
icon will give a talk about the most recent experiences.

Unity Candle-light Service - this Wed at 7pm and not to be missed

Hi Everyone!

Ron and I just spent an hour at Unity getting the new sound system ready for tomorrow night's service. The new system (using a top of the line Bose speaker in the center) sounds absolutely amazing. I think everyone will hear the difference, and be very very pleased.

Christmas Shoebox
Please create a shoebox for a boy or girl age 5 - 10, or simply wrap a toy. Please label it with the age and gender of the child you are seeing enjoying the gift. We will be distributing these in Charleston.

Prosperity I live in an abundant universe. I give freely, not only of my financial resources, but also of my time, energy and love. I share from my willingness and eagerness to bless others. Whether I recycle gently-used household items, spend time tutoring a child, or volunteer to assist someone in need, I am giving from my heart. I receive the blessings of joy, satisfaction and gratitude as soon as I give to another. As I give and receive, I realize that material possessions do not define prosperity. Prosperity is a mind-set, a consciousness, a knowing that everything we need is already supplied. My giving opens the way for God's blessings to circulate. I give from the knowledge that I live in an abundant universe. The point is this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.--2 Corinthians 9:6

Gratitude

From a place of gratitude, I see beauty in everyone and everything.

When I adopt an attitude of gratitude, I create a shift in my outlook. Instead of seeing problems, I see opportunities. Instead of feeling hopeless, I feel hopeful. By focusing on what is working well, I invite more of the same.
When I let others know, "I am grateful for you," I create a connection of love and understanding. Through these simple words, I help others see their own beauty and the contribution they make in the world.
Through prayer, meditation or journal writing, I begin and end each day reflecting on the many ways Spirit blesses me. I approach life in a state of gratitude. I see the magnificence all around me, and I am filled with joy for all the good in this world.

We welcome this in every way and everywhere with utmost gratitude.--Acts 24:3
