Unity Appreciates
Mar 20, 2011
Thank you to all the Open Mic workers and to Ron Sowell for the wonderful Mardi Gras decorations and theme. Thank you to Phyllis for Ron's funky hat, the necklaces, and all the decorations. We had several first-timers in attendance that said that they would definitely be back!
Thanks to Ron and Jim Selbe for moving the very heavy keyboard back to the sanctuary late Friday night after all the Open Mic festivities.
The downstairs organ has been donated to God's Creation Ministries (the church that rents Blaine Blvd.). The minister's brother-in-law came with his pick-up truck. Much appreciation to him, Blue, and Sky for helping get the organ into his truck! Thanks also to Ron and Jim for moving the organ to the center of the basement floor for easier access.
The meditation room is almost done with the exception of a 2nd coat of paint on the closet and painting the closet shelves. Thank you to Jim, Linda Austin, and Pam.
So very thankful for Jim Selbe's shoveling of the parking lot. He put in many hours and has discovered a nice large drain that hopefully will drain all the water off the driveway and parking lot.
For friends in my apartment building! I had not returned from the Cleveland Clinic on Friday afternoon/evening as expected, staying over due to an 8" snowfall in the "Forest City." My neighbors became so concerned that they finally called me (at midnight!) and woke me up! Such is the price of friendship, and I am grateful! Harry Mills
For Alia Accad and other women with heartfelt theatrical skills for The Vagina Monologues which provided laughter, tears and deeper understanding.
For all the parents and their delightful wonderful children who grace our services with energy, hope and joy. Miss the twins and their independent spirits.
For Sky with his ability to go with the flow and spontaneously live in the moment.
For Ron and his perceptive use of ""Love Can Build a Bridge"" which resulted in his singing it and the chorus making such an impact on Join Me on the Bridge Day March 8th.
For all the Unity members, their friends, mates and children that participated in carrying banners, waving flags, singing, chanting, wearing colorful clothing and Being on the Bridge! For those who could not attend, but were there in spirit.
For Pam who was with us in spirit and manifesting her love for a friend who had made the choice to leave an abusive relationship.
"Much gratitude should be given to our talented music crew, Jack, Ryan, and Ron. As well as others who visit. All give of themselves willingly and out of love.
Also I give gratitude to Sky, what a blessing it is to have a spiritual leader of his nature. " Wesley
Thanks Anna Hamilton Schles for giving us an opportunity to help the Girl Scouts... maybe not our waist line, but its all for a good cause!!
Thanks Mindy for organizing the Sunday School teachers each month! We are happy to have our little ones provided for so well!
Thank you Paul Nadas for bringing humor to our Sunday mornings!
With Gratitude for Sky working with our Teens! His presence in the children's lives is very meaningful!
Thanks Peggy Gunter for running the show each Sunday morning. The consistency of your smile and kindness make us all feel welcome!
For Pam Hippler's extensive efforts to obtain a transporter from the bridge and up the hill.
For Barrie Kaufman the friend of many Unity members and attendees who was inspired to develop Join Me On The Bridge Day!
For the Presence of Harry Mills. Already a poster boy/guy for Cleveland Clinic's heart surgery, now or soon to be on his way to becoming their poster person for successful back surgery!
For all creatures great and small that bless the Earth with their life forms of energy!
For Grace and Love that has blessed Susie Davis with feet that can wear shoes again. Our Stetson Gal was made for walking!
For the after church discussion group, who add so much to my thinking and understanding! You bless me with your wisdom and experience! Sky
