The author, highly respected Unity Minister Eric Butterworth, was often referred to as a "Twentieth Century Emerson".  The late Butterworth was considered on of the Unity movement's spiritual innovators.  The book details Butterworth's widely recognized adage "You can change your life by changing your thoughts."  Oprah described it as "one of the most important books she had ever read".   Pam Hawley Grady

Our Unity Sojourner Shelter service project group. Wow!

We visited the shelter today and had a wonderful tour by shelter director Margaret Taylor. We adopted two rooms, and gave the shelter a contribution of $750!

More on Eric Butterworth's ideas about the BE-attitudes. The beatitudes are a sort of poem, attributed to Jesus, from his 'Sermon on the Mount,' which is considered by many to be his primary teaching. Please join us as we unpack the Unity interpretation of these beautiful, and confusing, words. (I've included the beatitudes below)

"The BE Attitudes"
After five years of studying and reading this stuff, I think I am finally getting some of it! I recall reading Eric Butterworth's chapter on the beatitudes before and not getting a word, now it is (finally) starting to come together. Have you ever been confused by some of these sayings of Jesus?  "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." or "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth." Please join us as we delve into how Unity makes sense of these words, and join us for the discussion afterwards!
