BE Attitudes 2
More on Eric Butterworth's ideas about the BE-attitudes. The beatitudes are a sort of poem, attributed to Jesus, from his 'Sermon on the Mount,' which is considered by many to be his primary teaching. Please join us as we unpack the Unity interpretation of these beautiful, and confusing, words. (I've included the beatitudes below)

Lenten Book Study immediately after the service: Eric Butterworth's Discover the Power Within You, Chapters 7-9 (or so).

Sojourners Project Visit - And immediately after the Lent Book Study, a group of us will meet at Sojourners for a tour of the women's homeless shelter, and a discussion about what it would mean for us to adopt one or two rooms! 1418 E. Washington St, http://www.ywcachaswv.org/programs/sojourners/default.aspx

Open Stage for Adults -
Tonight, Friday, Mar 13 at 7:30 (performers sign up at 7pm)

"Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are they who mourn,
for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek,
for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they shall be satisfied.

Blessed are the merciful,
for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure of heart,
for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called children of God.

Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

Gospel of St. Matthew 5:3-10
