"Does Evil Exist?" Sky will be speaking
Well, in the lesson for today I thought we might try walking right up to the edge of the abyss and looking over! Hold on to your hats! New Thought has helped me so much in my thinking about how to understand the concept of good, and it's place in my life. Please join us for an interesting reflection.
There will be a discussion after the service.
Music with Ron, Jack, Ryan, and perhaps even a special guest.

Words of Appreciation
Hi Friends,
Some of you may know about this stuff but just want to make sure we've all been kept up to speed -
1. Blue was all set to lay the ceramic tile in the Sanctuary foyer when while laying it out discovered that it was "out of square". This means that (according to Gerie Ann) we can't use anything with a block like pattern in it because the pattern would be thrown off - the block at one end would be smaller than the other and it wouldn't look right. So, she scrambled around yesterday and found a beautiful solution. She found a vinyl floor at Andrews Floor Covering in Charleston that has small-ish leaves in it and looks rather "old". She had two color selections, a burgundy background and a lighter yellowish background. Most everyone who saw it liked the burgundy, so that's what we're going with. I will order it tomorrow (Thursday) and Andrews has assured me it will be in on Monday. Blue has agreed to install this new floor covering. The price, including a 25% discount and our tax exemption status is $522.72 for the material. Blue will have to level the floor so that will add some additional expense.
2. Gerie Ann also found a carpet remnant at E S & C that she was thinking about for the foyer.
3. All the donated perennials have been planted out back. Pam, Phyllis and I worked Monday morning on that. There were really more than we needed so Pam planted some over on the side yard beside the fire escape - just to get them in the ground. We can move them later when we get the details of the Meditation Garden worked out. I also got some pretty, bright annuals at the Capitol Market and replaced the done-for violas that we brought from Blaine Blvd. so we have some pretty flowers by the back door too.
4. Ed is working on the Kitchen floor and it's looking beautiful. Looks like he may be done by tomorrow (Thursday).
Thanks to all - and especially the wonderfully hard-working crew that's working on Yard Sale stuff all week. I LOVE OUR CHURCH!!!
