Positive, Practical Christianity

Sunday, July 18, 2010 at 11am - Unity on Bridge
"Making Observations as a Spiritual Discipline" a lesson with Sky

Krisnamutri once wrote "Observing is the highest form of spirituality." What does it take to become a participant observer in life? How can we develop and enjoy this perspective? Observing is the first skill of NonViolent Communication and may be a useful way of thinking about using the Unity principles. Please join us for the lesson and the NVC class discussion after the service.

NonViolent Communication Class, right after the service, 12:30 - 1:45
Led by Sky. Please bring a dish or snack to share.

Gratitude
From a place of gratitude, I see beauty in everyone and everything.

When I adopt an attitude of gratitude, I create a shift in my outlook. Instead of seeing problems, I see opportunities. Instead of feeling hopeless, I feel hopeful. By focusing on what is working well, I invite more of the same.

When I let others know, "I am grateful for you," I create a connection of love and understanding. Through these simple words, I help others see their own beauty and the contribution they make in the world.

Through prayer, meditation or journal writing, I begin and end each day reflecting on the many ways Spirit blesses me. I approach life in a state of gratitude. I see the magnificence all around me, and I am filled with joy for all the good in this world.

We welcome this in every way and everywhere with utmost gratitude.--Acts 24:3
