RE: Path to the Cure - Race in Huntington

Pam...thank you so much for sending this out!

I'm one of the committee members of the PATH to the Cure 5k Walk/Run being held in Huntington on Oct 1, 2011. My girlfriends and I raised $24,000 over two years to participate in the 60 mile/3 day walk in Washington, DC to benefit breast cancer research.  We saw how much of this money was raised locally from friends and family.  We decided that it would be even more helpful to women in our community to raise the money and keep it here at home to benefit our friends and family here in WV.  This is how PATH to the Cure was born.

I thought I'd try to make it easy for you to find information that might be of interest to you instead of you having to look around for it.  I know I like to save a bit of time when it comes to gathering info on the web.  :-)

Below are a few suggestions that would be helpful to build interest for our event and a few links to info that you might find relevant.

I hope you'll seriously consider creating/joining a team and walking/running for this great cause.  The atmosphere will be festive, happy, very PINK and will not be your run-of-the-mill walk/run.  We hope you'll join us!

Oh...and we're doing a photo shoot and possibly a commercial on Thurs. Aug 25 in Huntington.  We're looking for people to participate whose lives have been touched by breast cancer.  The details are attached.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Who are YOU walking for?

Blessings,
~Alecia~
