Events this Week at Unity of Kanawha Valley

Hello everyone,

The following events are happening at Unity of Kanawha Valley this week:

FRIDAY - KARAOKE NIGHT AT 7PM.  Please join us for a fun and entertaining evening of singing, dancing, and eating (of course)!  The fun starts at 7pm with Blue running the equipment and serving as KJ.  Everyone is welcome.  Admission is $2.00.

SUNDAY - BOOK STUDY GROUP AT 10AM - This month, the group is studying "Spiritual Economics" by Eric Butterworth.

SUNDAY CHURCH SERVICE AT 11AM - UNITY IS PLEASED TO HAVE JOHN MOORE AS OUR GUEST SPEAKER.  John will be speaking on "Be Still and Know".  This week's musician will be Jack Kennedy.  Ron and Ryan will be on the road with Mountain Stage.

AFTER CHURCH SERVICE ON SUNDAY - JOHN MOORE, "THE DEBT-FREE GURU" WILL BE PRESENTING A WORKSHOP ON "CONSCIOUS PROSPERITY" FROM 1:30-5:30PM.  Everyone is welcome.  Please call the church to register at 304-345-0021.  This workshop is donation basis.  At the end of the workshop, you give only want you feel the value of the workshop is worth.

MONDAY - "BEST YEAR 4 U" GROUP - led by Alan Yoke.  This is a call-in meeting at 7pm to support each person in making 2013 the best year for you.  For more information, please contact Alan at bestyear4u@hotmail.com.

TUESDAY- SMOOTHIE 180 PARTY with Jeanne Chandler.  This is a tasting party for Shaklee smoothies and to support each other in a healthy 2013.  For more information, please contact Jeanne at vitalou@gmail.com.

WEDNESDAY - "WOMEN'S NIGHT OUT".  The UKV women will meet at Aladdin's restaurant at 6pm for a great evening of food and fun.  Please call the church at 304-345-0021 or let Pam or Marianne know if you would like to join us.  We just need a number for the restaurant. 


FUTURE EVENTS

Friday, Jan. 25th - Open Mic 4 Kids! at 6:30pm. 
Friday, Feb. 1st - Movie Night at 6pm.
Saturday, Feb. 2nd - "Souper Bowl" fundraiser - Soup and Soup Bowls (created by West Virginia potters) will be for sale.  UKV needs volunteers to make and donate soup and volunteers to work the sale. 


OTHER NEWS ITEMS

There is an ab exercise in the meditation for sale for $25 with all proceeds going to UKV. 

Thank you so much to everyone that donated to the Heifer International program.  We raised $940.  The following is a list of animals that were donated to needy families around the world. 
     Water buffalo ($250) to the Phillipians
     Goat ($120) to Albania
     Llama ($150) to Peru
     2 Pigs ($240) to Nicaragua
     Sheep ($120) to Kosovo
     2 flocks of chicks ($60) to Tanzania
