Subject: Juanita in hospital in Ecuador

Last night at nine I had surgery on my knee and am now in a full-leg cast.  The doctors said I was two days away from a major infection which could have threatened my leg.  My white blood count was in the 2,000s.

 

I am now in the Clinica Los Andes which specializes in surgery. I expect to be here several days because there is no one in my house to assist me.

And I imagine that I will be on crutches when I get out.

 

Prayers are still welcome...
