Hi Family,

Yesterday I was feeling really well. Took a taxi into town, met Maureen for a two-hour bus tour of Cuenca (awesome), had lunch, went to see the closer-to-school apartment that the school wants to move me to, bought some groceries and taxied back home. I guess it may have been "pushing" although it didn't feel like it at the time. Last night my leg was somewhat swollen and it did leak some blood again during the night.

Awakening at 6:30 this morning I realized that there was no way I could teach a four-hour class (beginning at 8:30) today with the requisite spirit of enthusiasm. For the first time, the knee is hurting when I move it. With pain, my head is not the clearest for good teaching, and if I took a pain pill I would be even "fuzzier."

You know full well that I'm not a quitter and I hated calling at what was basically the last minute, but I called the director and she said she would have to cancel today's class. She also suggested that it might not work for me to stay on and try to teach. She suggested that we wait to see how Monday goes.

My housemate (who has taught seven cycles here) suggested, since I don't need the school salary to live here, that I propose just taking on individual tutorials and my one small class -- which would have me at the same school location every day for 3 1/2 hours in the mid-afternoon. Then, as time passes and I get completely healed, I could return to a normal teaching load in a later cycle. I hope that she will be amenable to that.

Requesting lots of prayers and healing white energy,

Love to all,

Juanita Ruth One
