Events this Week at Unity of Kanawha Valley

Hello everyone,

Unity of Kanawha Valley has a jam-packed week of activities.  We hope that you can join us for all the fun!

FRIDAY - KARAOKE NIGHT AT 7PM.  Please join us lots of fun and entertainment.  We have a great time singing and dancing.  Admission is $2.00.  Bring food to share if you would like.

SATURDAY - HOT DOG SALE FROM 11AM -2PM.  Volunteers are still needed to work the hot dog sale and/or to donate some baked goods.  Set-up begins around 9am.

ALSO ON SATURDAY - "THE SEA THE SEA" (MIRA STANLEY AND CHUCK COSTA) IN CONCERT AT 7:30PM.  A donation of $10.00 per attendee is suggested.  Mira and Chuck are donating 50% of their proceeds back to UKV!

SUNDAY - CHURCH SERVICE AT 11AM.  Sky will be speaking on "Synchronicity". 
          "Carl Jung defined synchronicity as 'a meaningful coincidence of two or more events and we do things that increases these experiences."  My thanks to Lyle Sattes for pointing me to Joseph Jaworski's book by this title.  -   Sky

ALSO ON SUNDAY - NATE'S HOMECOMING CELEBRATION.  Please join us and bring food to share to celebrate Nate coming back to WV from Kuwait.  Nate arrived home on Monday afternoon.  We all can't wait to see him.  Sky has requested SOME vegetarian dishes since he and Nate are vegetarians. 

ALSO ON SUNDAY AFTER CHURCH  - WES DAVIS WILL BE TAKING PICTURES FOR THE CHURCH DIRECTORY.  If anyone would like to have their picture taken for the church directory.  Wes will be available as our photographer.

The 2012 Workshop scheduled for Sunday has been canceled.  Charlotte Abell, who was presenting the workshop, mother is very ill.  Please keep Charlotte and her family in your thoughts and prayers.  The workshop will be rescheduled for some time in the fall.


Future Events:

Friday, July 27th- Open Mic 4 Kids! at 6:30-8pm.  Performers sign up at 6pm.

Saturday, July 28th - Quiet Day Retreat with Megan Lyon from 10am - 4pm.  Light lunch provided.  No cost but love offerings accepted.  Labyrinth will be available for a walking meditation.  RSVP to miggiwiggi@hotmail.com.
