Hello everyone,
Hope you are having a great week! The following are events at Unity of Kanawha Valley this week:
FRIDAY - OPEN MIC 4 KIDS! AT 6:30PM. This event is for performers ages 5-15. Everyone is welcome. No admission. Performers sign up at 6pm. This event is hosted by Sky Kershner and Ron Sowell.
SATURDAY - ECO-BEAD MEDITATION WORKSHOP FROM 2-4PM. This workshop is led by Sherri Walker, the Eco-Beader. In this workshop, beads are made from magazines and recycled materials. Each participate may say a prayer or meditation over each bead. They will have a bracelet to take home. The class is $25 with a portion of the proceeds going to UKV.
SUNDAY - BOOK STUDY GROUP AT 10AM. February's book is "I of the Storm" by Gary Simmons. The book for March's study group will be "The Five Principles". Copies of both of these books are available in the UKV bookstore.
SUNDAY CHURCH SERVICE AT 11AM - Sky will be speaking on "Loving and Letting Go". Musicians this week will be Ron Sowell, Jack Kennedy, and Ryan Kennedy.
AFTER CHURCH ON SUNDAY - The Communication Skills Building/ Non-Violent Communication class will continue.
FUTURE EVENTS
FRIDAY, MARCH 1ST - Movie Night at 6pm.
SATURDAY, MARCH 2ND - Inner Listening Class at 10:30am.
THURSDAY, MARCH 7TH - Women's Dinner at 6pm. Venue to be announced.
OTHER NEWS:
Unity will be selling coupon books as a fundraiser for $20 each. These books contain coupons for various restaurants and services in the Charleston area. The coupons are valid through the end of 2013. The books are on the table in the sanctuary by the bookstore hallway. There is a large envelop to put your payment into if you would like to buy a book. Please see me if you would sign out some books to sell to your friends and neighbors. UKV will receive 50% of the total sales.
Walk MS - Unity of Kanawha Valley will sponsor a team to walk for MS on Saturday, April 13th at the Columbia Gas Building. This walk is on a donation basis. UKV is looking for walkers and/or sponsors. We are doing this walk in honor of a UKV member. Check it out at WalkMS:VAB 2013 Walk MS Charleston WV page on Google. Make sure it is Charleston, WV not Charleston, SC. More information to come in the future.
