womanSong Chorale presents:CANDLELIGHT CHRISTMAS! THIS SATURDAY, DECEMBER 3 at 7:30 PMChrist Church United MethodistAdmission is free, but we ask that you bring non-perishable foods as a donation Emily Capece, directorJanet Brightbill, piano with special guests:  Laurel Thompson, harpBeth Vorhees, reading some seasonal poems, and the Cora Voce Girls Choir   Our featured piece this season is Benjamin Britten's Ceremony of Carols, accompanied by harpist, Laurel Thompson.  This delicate, lovely, provocative cycle of carols was composed in 1942 as Britten was crossing the Atlantic ocean (which at the time was full of lurking German U-boats)  from the US back to his home in the UK.  The text is Middle English, but the music is timeless!  There will also be a flute trio interlude, and songs about the snow, the cold, roses, and angels, angels, everywhere!  Please come join us for this early entry into the Christmas season. www.womansongchorale.org
